Through my involvement with workstations and related products and equipment
made by and for Sun Microsystems I have
collected a range of links, etc. along with a growing bunch of otherwise-unobtainable
information relating to Sun systems as an archive attached to my Sun Shack
page.
Additionally, you might like to check out the web pages for Sun Ripened Kernels, a small operation of
mine which deals in surplus and pre-loved Sun Microsystems equipment. Please
note that because of APANA's
prohibition of commercial use, these web pages are hosted outside
APANA.
If you're interested in discovering exactly what hardware and software I use in my machines, then check out the details. Feel free to ask me any questions about the Sun-related material here and elsewhere.

An interesting combination of science and computing. Terranova is a local
adaption of a project that generates an image of a different terra-formed
planet each day using a variety of public domain image manipulation
tools which employ a technique known as fractal forgery.Credit goes to John Walker for the original work in developing the terranova project. His excellent web site, which is chock full of interesting, science-related things such as the original terranova, is well worth a visit.

Note that anonymous FTP access is restricted to a small number of domains, and strict rfc-822 password checking is enforced by the FTP daemon.

This page is home to my collection of humourous computer- and
science-folklore-related writings. Some I've created myself and others
have been captured from traffic that has ventured through my emailbox over
time.
